August is a multi-disciplinary artist. He won two honorable mentions and one silver Key from the Scholastic Writing Awards. He also won a high school sections award for a drawing. He writes primarily poetry and personal essays getting at the deeper parts of life. He loves to read whatever falls in his hands and enjoys time spent well with those he loves.
