Rebecca Hawkes

Rebecca Hawkes is a queer painter-poet raised in rural Aotearoa. She's the author of Meat Lovers (AUP) and the chapbooks Softcore Coldsores (AUP) & Hardcore Pastorals (Cordite). She edits the NZ poetry journal Sweet Mammalian. Her work has been supported by the Kenyon Writer's Workshop, HZWP, & Michael King Writer's Centre, and her poems have won prizes with the Academy of American Poets, Salt Hill, & Palette. Her new books are coming soon via Yes Yes Books, AUP, & Ngā Pukapuka Pekapeka.
