E. I. was born and raised in Enugu, Nigeria. They began writing stories when they were 4 years old and poetry when they were 12 years old. Their poems have previously appeared in Lavender Review and Glass Lyre Press: Aeolian Harp-Harp Solos. Their work is heavily influenced by their experience as a queer immigrant, learning ways to reconcile the prejudices of their upbringing with their identity and the life they want to build for themself.
