Diane Reid Stevens is thankful to write on the traditional lands of the Snuneymuxw people in Nanaimo, B.C., Canada. After writing all through school and university, she gave it up briefly to earn a teaching degree, taught for two years, then gave birth to five children in just over nine years. To save her mental health, she began writing in the early morning and completed several fiction manuscripts and a memoir. Stevens earned her MA from the University of Gloucestershire, UK, in 2024.
