Dan DiPiero is a musician, writer, and Assistant Professor of Music at Boston University. His work includes the books Big Feelings: Queer and Feminist Indie Rock After Riot Grrrl, Contingent Encounters: Improvisation in Music and Everyday Life, as well as articles in places like the Journal of Popular Music Studies, the Journal of the American Musicological Society, Jazz & Culture, and the Cleveland Review of Books. They are currently at work on a project about crushes and popular music.
