Cayenne is a fiction writer who, having grown up in the Philippines, values her Filipino identity to be a crucial aspect of her writing. As a recent MFA graduate from the University of Kentucky, her stories are often an earnest exploration of grief, human psychology, and interpersonal relationships. She is also fond of framing her narratives in milieus such as folklore, music, and general academia.
