Paul Callaro was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and studied American literature at Iona University. He and his family now live in Chester County, PA. His collection of short fiction, Not Down in Any Map, won a 2024 PenCraft Award for Literary Excellence and was a finalist for a 2025 Next Generation Indie Book Award. His stories have appeared in The Muleskinner Journal, Umbrella Factory Magazine, and Bloom. He is currently working on a novel.
