Betty Vega grew up in the deep South, USA. She graduated from Mississippi University for Women, the historic first public college for women in America, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Physics. She earned a Master of Science in Legal Studies from PennWest. Betty traveled throughout the Middle East, Southwest and Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Her perspectives broadened and deepened from engagements with various cultures, religions and peoples—the foundation of her stories.
