Rebecca Benson

Rebecca is an Edinburgh based crime writer. She came to fiction later in life having spent a career dealing in facts. As a murder squad DS she worked on many complicated investigations, supervising detectives & incident rooms. To move away from writing facts & dull procedures she studied for an MA in Creative Writing. Her time on the course inspired her to set up the social media account, Bookshelves of Scotland and also helped her get shortlisted for Pitch Perfect at Bloody Scotland.
