Ausiàs Tsel is a Valencian author writing in both Catalan/Valencian and English. He specializes in what he calls "Mediterranean Gothic" with a dry voice and precise imagery, where violence is never decorative. His work explores wounded memory and the fractures between the intimate and sacred, transforming Mediterranean coasts and domestic spaces into territories of existential unease.
