Amal El-Sayed holds a PhD in English literature from Ain Shams University, where she teaches English poetry at the Faculty of Al-Alsun (Languages). When she is not teaching, she can be found devouring books, composing poems, or scribbling stories that stubbornly refuse to come to an end. Her poems and stories appear in Shot Glass Magazine, Wyldblood Magazine, Poetry Pacific, and Poets Reading the News.
