Alice was a registered nurse and then returned to college for a master's degree in anesthesiology. She retired as a certified registered nurse anesthesiologist with 49 years in healthcare. She will graduate with an MFA in fiction at Eastern Kentucky University. She was the recipient of the 2023 Emerging Writer Award from EKU, and has upcoming work to be published in Waffle Fried Literary magazine.
