A 2023 Tin House Scholar and 2024 Tin House Reading Fellow, Alexis teaches writing at The Loft, GrubStreet, and midnight & indigo. Her essays have been named Notable in Best American Essays and appear in The Common, The Maine Review, Shenandoah, and Mamas, Martyrs, and Jezebels. She lives in Massachusetts but still claims California as home.
