She has been a Freelance Writer for various publications, specializing in film criticism, features, and pop culture articles from a Tejana and Latine perspective. She is a member of the Austin Film Critics Association and has been published in The Austin Chronicle, TheWrap, Letterboxd Journal, and RogerEbert.com, among others. Alejandra was voted Best Film Critic in The Austin Chronicle's Readers' Poll 2024. When she's not writing, she loves spending time with her cat Cooper and watching movies.
