Michael Johnson is a writer and corporate communications consultant with a strong focus on geospatial technology. He was part of the founding team of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and worked on its staff from 1994 to 2000 before starting his own consulting business. He later continued collaborating with OGC as an external consultant until returning in 2010 as Senior Staff Writer, where he led communication and outreach efforts.
