We're drawn to fiction that examines the familiar until it becomes strange, approaches the unknown with curiosity, and trusts readers to discover meaning for themselves. We believe the most interesting questions are rarely settled by a single perspective. Our collections are intentionally small and carefully curated. We consider not only the strength of an individual piece, but also what it contributes to the larger work. Our themes are invitations rather than prescriptions, providing common ground for contributors to explore in their own ways. We believe our contributors are both collaborators and partners, and that creators should share in the value they help produce. At Tainted Glass, we are as interested in our relationship with contributors as much as we are in the individual pieces they offer. We see our collections as conversation between distinct voices.
