Small trad publisher specializing in speculative fiction and poetry, with a special focus on Own Voices aroace stories.

Our mission at Beyond the Stars Press is to help and support indie and self-published authors and freelance creatives in the publishing industry. While we are currently only accepting poetry collections for manuscripts, we are expanding into accepting submissions for speculative fiction novels focusing on platonic and familial relationships, or aro/ace protagonists, in the near future.

As a new small press, we are constantly looking for ways to evolve and better serve the community. Currently, we have an ongoing anthology for short fiction and poetry submissions, Project Rebirth.

For the anthology, we're open to all. When we create listings for collections and novels, we're focusing on Own Voices, first and foremost.

Beyond The Stars Press

Project Rebirth is an anthology on life, death, growth, and renewal. We are looking for submissions that center hope and the light at the end of the tunnel, as well as sorrowful and grief-ridden submissions. The goal is to arrange the submissions in a way that demonstrates the cycle of life and death, and how humanity perseveres.

We would especially like to publish Own Voices, writers with disabilities, and BIPOC writers, but are open for all for this anthology.

Project Rebirth

While we strive to make space for Own Voices, BIPOC writers, writers with disabilities, and 2SLGBTQIA+ (with a special interest in asexual or aromantic voices), our anthology is open to all!

We're seeking poetry, short story, or fiction novel-length manuscripts and novellas by BIPOC writers. Anything under the speculative genre fiction umbrella is welcomed. Manuscripts must have zero spice and erotica plotlines and elements. Plutonic, familial, friendship, and queerplutonic plotlines are desired but not required!

(If you write a fantasy focusing disability that doesn't get "cured," we especially want to see it.)

We are an anti-AI, BIPOC, neurodivergent and disabled, queer-owned press specializing in zero spice/erotica and romance to fill in a desired niche for asexual and aromantic readers, or readers who want to read works that don't focus on romantic and sexual relationships.
