For its third outing, Yellow Lamp dives into the Aquarium and explores the theme through poetry, prose, essays, fact files, and artwork.

Yellow Lamp Lit Mag encourages the weird, experimental, and unexpected. Each issue visits a different location, inviting artists to explore the depths of their creativity. Issue 02 took us to the Yellow Lamp art gallery, asking contributors to think beyond the frame. Issue 03 dives into the Yellow Lamp aquarium, exploring what might be found above and beneath the surface.

We adore work that runs into the woods screaming and work that whispers gently to the flowers. We've moved beyond poetry and now encourage people to send us art, prose, essays, and any other medium they can think of. We have long callouts so writers can take their time and craft something just for our magazines.

We want the lit mags to exist in their own world as we slowly map it out one location at a time. On the horizon we have the haunted house, the train station, and the museum. We challenge you to write within these walls, but make them entirely your own. Instead of just writing about fish, what about the anitor? What about the handprint on the glass? What notes are left in the staff room, or what advertisements are on the notice board?

Don't be afraid to go beyond. We want you at your most wild.
