amplifying female voices in literature, art, and thought.
we publish work that challenges, heals, and reimagines.

WIA began as a simple idea: young people, especially girls, deserve a space where their words and creativity are truly heard. We’re a youth-led digital magazine that brings together writing, art, and photography — not just as forms of expression, but as tools for change.

At our core, we’re drawn to publish work that reflects the complexity of being a young woman in today’s world, with a special focus on uplifting the voices of those who are often overlooked, both in the past and present - slowly attempting to shape the future.

We believe stories have the power to disrupt, to comfort, and to move us forward. That’s why every issue of WIA is more than a collection — it’s a call to speak up, stand out, and create with purpose!

Issue 04: The Tapestry is a collection of art, writing, and photography that explores the many threads that make up a woman's identity. Inspired by the idea of a tapestry, this issue asks a simple yet profound question: Who is a woman when nobody is watching her? Beyond the roles of daughter, sister, friend, student, leader, or dreamer lies a self untouched by expectations—a woman defined not by the world's gaze, but by her own mind. <div>Through poetry, prose, art, and photography, we invite you to unravel the threads you inherited, the ones you chose, and the ones that belong only to you. We want to see your most honest interpretations of identity, womanhood, memory, and selfhood. </div><div>Share the pieces of yourself that cannot be reduced to a label, and help us weave together a tapestry of women as they truly are.</div><div>Submissions close 26th July 2026.</div>

We are open to submissions from women of all ages, across the world.
