Two Children is a literary magazine founded by two bosom friends, kindred spirits, and writers. We are interested in publishing poetry, fiction, and non-fiction.

We believe writing takes us on a journey; longing for the what was and creating the very things our souls desire from ourselves and others. We see writing as something that is healing, nostalgic, whimsical, soulful, and hopeful and Two Children longs to exhibit this writing—to be a place of community for the inner child, to promote creativity, and excellent literature.

Our name comes from the poem The Two Children by Emily Brontë as she remains an admired writer and great influence to us.

Two Children is meant to be a diverse place that welcomes all voices.

The summer is the peak time for love, suddenly you look up and everyone you know is getting married or getting engaged or falling in love and with Pride month recently upon us, every turn is a reminder of love’s resilience.<div><br></div><div>For this writing prompt, we want your stories surrounded by love whether that be romantic, platonic, familial, or unrequited.</div><div><br></div><div>We want resilient love, the runaway bride, the scorned groom, the enemies to lovers to enemies, the childhood best friends, pennies into wishing wells, pocket change thrown at police, the slightly perverted woman in love with a Catholic priest and they know it will never work but they desperately hold on . . . ok . . . maybe not that one. Love is about patience, resilience, endurance, sacrifice. Human existence comes from love and everyday countless individuals fight for their right to it.</div><div><br></div><div>Our July writing prompt is titled “Going to the Chapel”.</div><div><br></div><div>Responses for this prompt can be submitted to Two Children through the submission portal below.
