Longform nonfiction means a lot of different things to different people. For T*A, it’s all about characters that drive rollicking plots with plenty of twists and turns to keep us reading. This means stories that have a beginning, middle, and end with rising and falling tensions throughout. We accept pitches that are historical or current and span topics including crime, adventure, sports, and more. We are not assigning profiles, trend pieces, opinion pieces, or reviews.<div><b><br></b></div><div><b>What kinds of stories?</b></div><div>Unlike most magazines, we have no topical mandates and couldn’t care less about chasing the news cycle. We tell incredible true stories. That’s it. We work with a diverse array of longform writers including Pulitzer winners and nominees, award-winning magazine writers, and up-and-coming journalists to create one-of-a-kind storytelling for readers. </div><div><br></div><div>We publish true-crime stories and real-life mysteries—subjects we love—as well as stories about wild adventures, clashing cultures, and unsung heroes.   </div>
