Formatting
Prose: submissions should be typed, double-spaced, and paginated in a single attached Word document (doc/docx file extensions only). Please include the word count on the first page. Poetry: up to 5 unpublished poems in a single attached Word document (doc/docx file extensions only). Submissions should be typed, single-spaced, and paginated. Erasures, concrete poetry, visual poetry, and poems with irregular indentation should be submitted in PDF format. Art: send images of your work as jpeg files, or a link to your portfolio or body of work. Please DO NOT send a general link to your website/Instagram as your submission. Do not send links with an expiration date.
Author's rights
Artists and writers retain full rights to their work. By submitting you are granting The Purposeful Mayonnaise the non-exclusive right to publish the work in its submitted form on our website, publication (online or print), social media channels, newsletter. The Purposeful Mayonnaise uses Canadian English and reserves the right to edit all written content submitted (writing submissions, artist bios, artist statement, etc.) for grammar / spelling / formatting, without changing the content of your writing.
