Inspired by the small plot of apple trees near Cambridge, England, where writers have gathered for years with their books and pens, we welcome you to pull up a chair and enjoy poetry in the orchard.

The Orchards Poetry Journal is a biannual publication dedicated to showcasing a diverse array of poetic voices. Established in 2016, the journal has consistently featured works from both emerging and established poets, fostering a rich literary community. Each issue is thoughtfully curated to provide readers with a cohesive and engaging experience.

In addition to its regular publications, The Orchards Poetry Journal actively supports the broader literary community through various initiatives. Notably, the journal nominates three poems from each issue for the prestigious Pushcart Prize, recognizing exceptional poetry from small presses. Furthermore, it awards the Grantchester Award to two poems per issue, with first and second place winners receiving cash prizes of $50 and $30, respectively. (orchardspoetry.com)
