For each issue, writers and artists will be paired, each creating a new poem, story, photograph, painting or other piece of artwork inspired by work previously submitted by their partner artist. Contributors typically have about 6 weeks to create their new work. We do ask that featured artists and writers wait a year after being published in TLE to submit again. We highly recommend you take a look at the format of a previous issue of TLE before submitting so you understand the commitment involved. If you are chosen to participate, you will be: Paired with another artist (if you are a writer, you will be paired with a visual artist…and vice versa) Sent three to five previous works created by your partner artist Expected to create a completely new work inspired by one of your partner’s previous artworks or writings.
