Rising novelist or piercing essayist, established writer or experimentalist, we are an online guild of young writers between the ages of 13 to 18 who are looking to amplify their creative work through collaboration, learning, and feedback.

We meet weekly to discuss both our personal projects and works created in our workshops. Together, we expand our understanding of the world as writers and encourage the ruthless pursuit of our craft. Project Metamorphosis, our first printed issue, will feature teen writers and artists from across Canada in pursuit of representing the diversity of young voices in the community.

The Creative Coterie

<div>Welcome to Project Metamorphosis, issue 02 of The Creative Coterie and our FIRST fully-funded &amp; printed issue! For this theme, we encourage creatives aged 13-18 and residing in Canada to explore the role of metamorphosis in our world:</div><div><br></div>In order to grow as individuals and as a community, we require deep, all-encompassing change. Oftentimes, this can become an artform in and of itself; a transformation that creates something beautiful, like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. With Project Metamorphosis, we prompt writers and visual artists aged 13-18 to explore how the process of change is significant to them and their communities. How does metamorphosis present itself in our lives? In what ways does change alienate us from the past, and how do we come to terms with it? How can we use this knowledge for the better good?<div><br></div><div>Accepted creatives will be invited to a launch event in October 2026 and receive a FREE copy of Project Metamorphosis! </div>
