An inclusive indie lit mag focused on celebrating all things beastly with an emphasis on romance, sensuality, and relational aspects. Featuring artwork, comics, prose, and poetry from creators in the indie communities with a passion for the monsterlover genre.

The Bestiary Lit Mag is an inclusive indie literary magazine dedicated to celebrating all things beastly, with a particular emphasis on romance, sensuality, and relational dynamics. Founded in November 2022 by A.L. Davidson (she/they), the magazine emerged after a successful Kickstarter campaign that funded the printed version of a Minotaur-themed, queer erotic-horror short story penned by Davidson the previous summer. This initial venture into the monsterlover genre ignited a passion for both the genre and the indie literary magazine community, leading Davidson to establish The Bestiary Lit Mag. The magazine's mission is to uplift and celebrate monsterlovers through art and literature, featuring works from the indie creator community. It shares stories of romance and erotica that focus on the interactions between humans and beasts of all kinds. Emphasizing inclusivity, The Bestiary Lit Mag proudly promotes stories by, for, and about diverse, inclusive, and underrepresented voices through art, poetry, prose, and comics. The magazine accepts simultaneous submissions and previously published works, and it nominates pieces for prizes. It is active on social media, available in print, and provides contributor copies. Submissions are accepted via email, with guidelines specifying formatting requirements and a cover letter that includes a third-person bio and social media handles. The Bestiary Lit Mag offers a flat payment rate of $5 per accepted piece via PayPal, with hopes to increase compensation in the future. The magazine seeks pieces that pertain to the issue theme, focusing on sensuality and erotica, slow-burn narratives, inclusivity and diversity, queer themes, varied relationship and sexuality types, unique perspectives, underutilized or original monsters, and genres that bring a fresh style to the monsterlover world.
