About
Sudden Flash is an online magazine of extremely short fiction. We empathize with the reader whose time is limited and with the author who can produce the beginning and the end, but not the middle. We publish flash prose pieces of 600 words or less, and will also consider much shorter microfiction including dribbles (50 words) and drabbles (100 words), and everything in between. If you can tell a great story in 25 words or less, we salute you.
