We encourage you to use OpenOffice document format but anything that preserves formatting yet is readily transferable to HTML is acceptable. PDF and Publisher files are deprecated. We adhere the Chicago Manual of Style. The AP Stylebook is also acceptable. The important thing is that one is consistent within such style. Either/or, but not both. When necessary we will honor the MLA Style Manual, but we abhor footnotes and citation. Photo galleries should be arranged sequentially or serially, and should be no greater than 900 px tall by 1400 px wide. Video should be offsite and hosted on Archive.org, Vimeo or some similar host, then embedded within a post.

We publish all pieces under a Creative Commons license. The default for texts is CC-BY, allowing readers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. We are flexible on this, to the point of using CC-BY-NC-ND, which allows readers to copy and distribute the material in any medium or format in unadapted form only, for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.
