Toward new paths for printed media, critical and creative.

Print Culture Review is a biannual literary magazine that is aimed at showcasing both literary criticism and creative writing. Springing from the belief that literature today finds itself in a marginal position due to digital media becoming the more dominant form for the dissemination of information, the magazine proposes to reconsider what space literature can occupy. 

Each issue of Print Culture Review is divided into a "reading" and "writing" section. "Reading" is where the critical articles are (e.g. book reviews, essays in the mode of literary theory, etc.). "Writing" is where creative prose is showcased, with each piece stretching the commonly assumed limits of literary form and marking new, hypothetical limits. 

The magazine is looking for submissions from writers who wish to rediscover literature anew and are unafraid of going against all orthodoxy propounded by commercial publishers and university writing programs. For us, there are no "professionals" in this investigation, for if we are to take literature seriously today, and not merely as a historical remnant that is well past its use, it is something in need of redefinition and rediscovery. 

What is literature? What effect can it make? What are its limits? Such are questions we wish to pose critically and express by our creative practice.

Print Culture Review is accepting submissions for its inaugural issue.
