Novellum Magazine - A home for bold stories and new voices.
Literature, art, and journalism that push the boundaries.

Novellum Magazine is a home for bold stories and new voices. We publish fiction, poetry, journalism, and illustration that push boundaries and challenge expectations.

Founded with a mission to amplify underrepresented creators, we seek work that surprises, unsettles, or lingers long after the last line. Each issue blends literary ambition with visual storytelling, offering a platform for writers and artists who deserve to be seen.

We’re proudly independent, genre-fluid, and committed to publishing work that matters.

What We're Looking For:
Fiction – Short stories that take risks. We don't care if they're literary, genre, experimental, or something in between. If it's honest and compelling, send it.
Non-Fiction – Essays, memoirs, cultural commentary. If you've got something to say about the world—whether it's pop culture, personal experience, or something that keeps you up at night—we want to read it.
YA – Young adult fiction that respects its audience. No talking down. No watered-down themes. Just good storytelling for readers who deserve it.
Illustrative Work – Graphic novels, comics, illustrated narratives. Visual storytelling belongs here. If you're pushing the boundaries of what a literary magazine can look like, you're in the right place.

Note:
We are not taking poetry submissions at this time.

Send us your best.
