Literary journal focusing on Christian art, liturgy, prayer, poetry and prose.

The New England Psalter publishes art, liturgy, prayer, poetry and prose that takes the life of faith seriously; its consolations and its difficulties both.

We are the only Christian literary magazine to emphasize liturgical and meditative writing or prayer. We believe that expressiveness and imagination are hallmarks of the strong Christian imagination.

The New England Psalter

The New England Psalter invites poetry, prose, prayer and liturgy, and visual art for our inaugural issue, gathered around the theme of exile. Exile runs through the whole of scripture and the whole of a life of faith. For this issue, we are looking for work that dwells on the question of displacement, despair, or strangeness. <div><br><div>Submissions open July 2026 and close September 30, 2026.
