MAN/MACHINE is a bilingual magazine publishing essays, criticism, and hybrid nonfiction on AI, work, design, culture, media, and the changing relationship between human beings and machines.

MAN/MACHINE is an independent bilingual magazine exploring artificial intelligence, work, design, culture, media, and the changing relationship between human beings and machines.

We publish essays, criticism, cultural analysis, and hybrid nonfiction that examine how emerging technologies reshape creativity, labor, organizations, interfaces, attention, strategy, and everyday life. Our interest is not limited to AI as a tool or product category. We are interested in AI as a cultural force: something that changes how people work, think, design, decide, collaborate, create, and imagine the future.

MAN/MACHINE sits between technology, humanities, business, design, and cultural criticism. We welcome writing that is clear, intelligent, rigorous, and alive to the human consequences of technological change. We are especially interested in pieces that connect concrete technological shifts with broader questions of meaning, judgment, responsibility, aesthetics, power, and work.

The magazine publishes in English and Spanish, and looks for contributors who can write with precision, perspective, and a strong editorial voice. We value essays that move beyond hype, fear, or simple prediction, and instead help readers understand what is actually changing in the space between human beings and machines.

Possible areas of interest include artificial intelligence, automation, work, strategy, creativity, design, media, interfaces, organizations, leadership, cultural change, human-machine interaction, digital transformation, and the social impact of emerging technologies.

MAN/MACHINE is not a breaking-news outlet, product-review site, gadget blog, or technical documentation platform. We are looking for thoughtful, well-shaped writing that treats technology as part of culture.
