Literary and lifestyle magazine aimed at a specific ethno-linguistic group (Visayan Filipinos)

Visayans are an extremely underrepresented not just internationally, but even within the Philippines itself. Kasing2 (read as "kasingkasing," meaning "heart" in the Visayan languages of Waray and Cebuano) was created to provide a visually and intellectually stimulating medium for Visayan writers around the planet. We have a print edition, as well as a website designed to evoke traditional analogue media. Most of our staff, myself included (early 2000s baby here!) are Gen Z. We accept pieces in any of the 30+ Visayan languages as well as English and do not require any submission fees, ever.

Kasing2

We are always looking for Visayan voices. We accept works of any kind (poetry, prose, nonfiction, etc.) in any of the Visayan languages listed here, as well as English—provided the author incorporates their Visayan heritage within the text in some way.
<div>
</div><div>Whether you have new work or a piece previously published on your own platform that you’d like us to reprint, we want to hear from you.</div>
