In 2023, Islandia Journal will be published as a print quarterly We'll consider submissions on a rolling basis -- meaning work will be considered both for its merit and first-come, first-serve Islandia prioritizes publishing the work of those who call South Florida home but will consider work by those who live outside the region but whose work is connected to it in some way, shape, or form payment: journal pay $100 for personal essays and pay begins at $150 for reported stories and hidden histories, scaling up for work that requires travel time and/or archival research payment: pay for short fiction begins at $100 and scales upward based on scope of author's work payment: $50 per published poem payment: ranges from $50-$250 for visual art
