We are extremely delighted to announce From The Fragments, a joint competition and project of 12 zines, each of us literature and poetry lovers, in honor of Sappho, (one of) the first poet of female desire!

a chorus of interpretations,
a collective act of reconstruction.

Every submission must anchor itself to one numbered fragment or poem from the Sappho Archive, a compilation of works by Sappho curated by the team. from there, the possibilities expand—poetry, prose, art, multimedia, and everything that emerges in the spaces between.

More information in the post and THE SAPPHO ARCHIVE. We are looking forward to everyone’s submissions!

Ioche Magazine is proud to present to you its second issue: Downward Macabre! Take the story of Lewis Carroll's most famous tale, Alice in Wonderland, and twist it into a nightmarish labyrinth. This issue peers into the deep cracks into the story's fractured glass, where whimsy has soured and madness is the only constant. In this issue, we dare to ask you: What horrors await you at the bottom of the rabbit hole? What does it mean to fall, again and again, into the same nightmare? What horrors hide beneath the surface of a dream? And when a dream rots, what's left to hold onto? (If you'd also like to create art directly inspired by the Alice in Wonderland story, the Ioche team is all for it!)

Welcome to The Muses, a collaborative issue hosted by Ioche Magazine. This issue will bring to light the beauty and sisterhood of each of the nine muses: Calliope, Clio, Erato, Euterpe, Melpomene, Polyhymnia, Thalia, Terpsichore, Urania, as well as their mother, Mnemosyne. These figures serve as the foundation for all submissions to this collaboration.
