Flicks and Frills

This issue is entirely dedicated to all women in media and entertainment. From those who have shone their light on the world and taken center stage to those who have been cast aside and continue to persevere. We want to showcase the women and pieces of media that have built up girls and given them the hope for a better future. A future where there aren’t shut down because of their gender and one where they can thrive and be given the equal opportunity to reach their full potential.

For this issue, we want to celebrate all the women in the entertainment industry, while also bringing awareness to the unfair mistreatment they have faced. Pieces can be, but are not limited to: reviews on films/television that focus on women and womanhood, analyses on songs that empower women or capture what it is to be a woman, and social commentaries on women in the entertainment industry (ex. how they have been mistreated, underrepresented, or silenced).
