WH Adams Antiquarian Books

A philosophical and literary journal, ENPRI revives the spirit of existential engagement, combined with artistic experimentation. The editorial vision draws inspiration from modern existential thought and the humanist tradition of Les Temps Modernes.

Founded on the belief that literature must confront and interpret the world, ENPRI revives the spirit of existential engagement, combining rigorous thinking with formal experimentation and visual artistry. The editorial vision draws inspiration from modern existential thought, humanist literary traditions, and the cultural force of journals like Les Temps Modernes.

Encyclopedia Prismatica invites essays, poetry, fiction, and visual art that trouble the ordinary, complicate certainty, and awaken readers from the sleep of habitual thought. We seek the politically aware and the philosophically precise, but also the strange, the tender, the raw. Work that, in short, disrupts forgetting and forces the reader to confront themselves.

We do not ask that you take a side. We ask that you take part. Read like an archaeologist, not a tourist.

Our literary and artistic influences include Jean-Paul Sartre; Simone de Beauvoir; James Baldwin; Shirley Jackson; Rod Serling; John Cage; Aldous Huxley; Augusto Boal; Paulo Freire; Goethe; Nawal El Saadawi; Friedrich Nietzsche; Albert Camus; Martin Luther King, Jr.; Malcolm X; Thomas Paine; Edmund Burke; Kathe Kollwitz; Theodore Roosevelt; and Ludwig van Beethoven.
