Bitter Melon Review is an international literary magazine dedicated to showcasing the voices of emerging writers from around the globe. The magazine seeks poetry, prose, fiction, and non-fiction submissions, as well as pitches and submissions for reviews, listicles, opinion essays, and short commentaries on film, books, music, and culture. They encourage contributions from writers of color, gender non-conforming and LGBTQ+ writers, veterans, those living with disabilities, and other historically underrepresented groups. While the magazine welcomes previously published work and simultaneous submissions, they are currently unable to offer payment to contributors, as they operate as a volunteer organization without funding.
