Bijli was born out of a shared dream to read and elevate speculative fiction by Indian writers because we felt that many of these imaginative worlds don’t have the spotlight they deserve. Through this journal, we hope to see just how wild and creative you can be!
We want Bijli to become a warm and inviting space for readers and writers alike, like a pocket universe where your mind can run free, where you can be weird, shocking, dazzling, and awe-inspiring. Join us in helping build this community.

Send us your original unpublished work of speculative fiction. Generally speaking, your story should focus on a “What If” scenario. As long as there is any element, big or small, in your prose that imagines a different world, we want to read it!
