Anomalous Press is an independent publisher committed to producing innovative and unconventional literature. Founded in 2010, it has published a diverse range of works, including poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and literature in translation. The press aims to challenge traditional publishing norms by embracing experimental and boundary-pushing content. Over the years, Anomalous Press has released numerous titles, showcasing a commitment to literary diversity and creativity. The press operates with a focus on inclusivity, actively seeking out and promoting the work of marginalized and underrepresented artists, including people of color, women, queer, disabled, neurodivergent, and gender nonconforming artists. This dedication to diversity is rooted in the belief that aesthetics are not neutral, and that difference tends to be marginalized. Anomalous Press also emphasizes the importance of compensating artists for their work and is working toward financial sustainability to support contributors and editorial staff. The press is run by an entirely volunteer staff, dedicated to literature and art, and the internet, reflecting a passion for the medium and its potential for creative expression.
